Promoting Cross-Boundary Flow of Personal Information – PCPD’s Representative Speaks at the Conference on “Protecting the Digital Consumer in Asia”

Acting Senior Legal Counsel of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Ms Clemence WONG, spoke at a conference entitled “Protecting the Digital Consumer in Asia” on 16 May. The conference was organised by the Centre for Comparative and Transnational Law, Faculty of Law of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

At the conference, Ms WONG introduced to the participants from the higher education and legal sectors the terms of the “Standard Contract for Cross-boundary Flow of Personal Information Within the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (Mainland, Hong Kong)” and the relevant requirements for cross-border transfers of personal data under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
