PCPD + HKPC Data Security Training Series for SMEs -
Seminar on “How Can SMEs Respond to Data Breach Incidents”

As business operations are becoming increasingly digital, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are facing growing cybersecurity threats, including ransomware, phishing and malware attacks. These threats put customer data and sensitive business information at risk of being leaked.
As the third training seminar of the “Data Security Training Series for SMEs” organised by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), this seminar aims to help SMEs enhance their cybersecurity awareness and response capabilities. Mr Tamson TAM, Acting Senior Personal Data Officer (Information Technology) of the PCPD and Ir Alex CHAN, General Manager of the Digital Trust and Transformation Division of the HKPC, will share the latest developments and trends of cyber threats, some representative data breach cases involving SMEs, highlight the key steps to prevent and cope with data breach incidents and provide tips to build cost-effective cybersecurity strategies in the seminar.
SMEs of all sectors, organisations utilising Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to handle personal data, IT professionals and members of the public with an interest in the topic are welcome to attend.
