Public Seminar on “How to Address New Privacy Challenges in the AI Era”
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) has become increasingly common in our daily lives. While AI brings convenience, it also poses a range of personal data privacy risks, including data breaches, excessive data collection, unauthorised use of personal data and issues related to data accuracy. Fraudsters even deploy AI deepfake technology to perpetrate frauds, making it more difficult for citizens to protect themselves.
To help the public better understand how to address new privacy challenges in the age of AI, Ms Ada CHUNG Lai-ling, the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, will speak at this seminar. Through real-life cases, the Privacy Commissioner will explain the privacy risks brought by AI in an easily comprehensible way, and will share practical tips on how to safeguard personal data. The seminar will also cover the recommendations and best practices for organisations to ensure that AI is being used safely and responsibly.
