Safeguarding Personal Data AI Sandbox Roadshow

Safeguarding Personal Data AI Sandbox Roadshow

To assist the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in schools, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) and the Digital Policy Office (DPO) jointly launched the Safeguarding Personal Data AI Sandbox (Sandbox). The Sandbox seeks to provide a collaborative platform for participating schools, AI solution suppliers, the PCPD, the DPO, the Hong Kong Cyberport and the Hong Kong Productivity Council, with a view to fostering innovation while facilitating compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and promoting the safe and responsible adoption of AI technologies.

The Sandbox is now open to applications. In order to assist schools in understanding the nature and functions of different AI-enabled education tools, the PCPD and the DPO will hold a Safeguarding Personal Data AI Sandbox Roadshow (Roadshow), featuring a variety of solution showcases and live demonstrations by AI solution providers. Through the Roadshow, participants will be able to learn about practical applications of AI in educational settings, exchange views with exhibitors and gain insights into AI solutions that may support teaching, learning and school administration.

Principals, teaching and IT support staff from primary and secondary schools are welcome to attend.

Enrolment is on a first-come-first-served basis. For registration, please click here.
