Special Awards
Apart from the Outstanding Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze Privacy-Friendly Award, three new awards are introduced to commend organisations for their outstanding performance in various aspects of the protection of personal data privacy. Interested organisations can submit the following requirement documents/information, and must also participate in the Outstanding Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze Privacy-Friendly Award.
The PCPD published the “Artificial Intelligence: Model Personal Data Protection Framework” (Model Framework) in 2024, with a view to providing internationally well-recognised and practicable recommendations and best practices to assist organisations in procuring, implementing and using artificial intelligence (AI), including generative AI, in compliance with the relevant requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
To encourage organisations to adopt the Model Framework, the “Best AI Governance Award” is introduced. Organisations that have met at least 3 of the following criteria recommended under the Model Framework may be awarded:

| 4. Provided training on AI for staff within the past 24 months before submission of the application | Relevant training records or training materials on AI for staff |
| 5. Developed an AI Incident Response Plan (or similar contingency plan) | Proof of having an AI Incident Response Plan or similar contingency plan |
