Two staff members of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong (PCPD), received Individual Awards for Officers of Public Organisations of The Ombudsman’s Awards 2020 (the Awards) for their professionalism and exemplary performance in handling complaints and enquiries.
The two PCPD awardees are Personal Data Officer of the Complaints Section Ms Annie Yuk-chun CHIU and Assistant Personal Data Officer of the Enquiries Section Ms Selene Siu-ying SUEN.
With extensive experience in handling complaints, Ms Chiu deals with cases in a professional, fair and just manner. She strives to understand the concerns of all relevant parties with patience and is committed to facilitating conciliation. A veteran in the Enquiries Section, Ms Suen handles different kinds of enquiries by people coming from all walks of life. She attends to the needs of the enquirers with empathy and provides them with practicable answers to resolve the problems of the enquirers.
The Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong, Ms Ada CHUNG Lai-ling, congratulated the award-winning staff members, “This is the fourth year in a row for our staff members to receive the Awards in recognition of their professionalism and excellence in handling complaints and enquiries. My Office will continue to strive our best to enhance the protection of privacy in relation to personal data.”
