Fulfil Civic Responsibility – Privacy Commissioner Issues a Letter Urging Colleagues to Lead by Example and Actively Cast their Votes in the Legislative Council General Election

The 2025 Legislative Council General Election will be held on 7 December (Sunday). The Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (Privacy Commissioner), Ms Ada CHUNG Lai-ling, issued a letter on 30 October, urging colleagues of her Office (PCPD), their families and friends to actively cast their votes on the polling day to fulfil their civic responsibilities.

The Privacy Commissioner, Ms Ada CHUNG Lai-ling, said, “The Legislative Council has important constitutional functions and plays a key role in governance, economic development, and improving people's livelihood. The 2025 Legislative Council General Election is a significant event that concerns every member of the society. As a statutory body of Hong Kong, members of the PCPD should also lead by example by actively casting their votes to fulfil both our civic responsibility and our social responsibility.”
