Implementing the Spirit of Two Sessions – Privacy Commissioner Publishes an Article Titled “Promoting the Development of Artificial Intelligence while Reinforcing our Connectivity with Both the Mainland and the World”

The Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (Privacy Commissioner), Ms Ada CHUNG Lai-ling, published an article in Ta Kung Pao titled “Promoting the Development of Artificial Intelligence while Reinforcing our Connectivity with Both the Mainland and the World” on 29 April 2025.

The Privacy Commissioner pointed out that the important documents published during the “Two Sessions”, such as the Report on the Work of the Central Government and the speeches made by the state leaders have set out a clear direction for Hong Kong to fully capitalise on its distinctive advantages under the “One Country, Two Systems” principle to reform and innovate. The Privacy Commissioner elaborated on how her Office (PCPD) implement the spirit of the “two sessions” from three perspectives, namely promoting the safe development of AI, facilitating the cross-boundary flow of personal information within the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and strengthening international exchanges and cooperation.
