The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data issued the Guidance recently to introduce two sets of Recommended Model Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers of personal data, which may be adopted by small and medium-sized enterprises in order to comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and good data ethics.
