Special Work Arrangements from 2 March 2020 until further notice (updated)
To continue to help reduce social contacts and the risk of the novel coronavirus’s spread in the community; and having regard to the approach adopted by the Government, the office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong has made the following updated special work arrangements from 2 March 2020 to provide more public services with a view to resuming full public services as soon as practicable:

All services that involve face-to-face contact in office (including meetings with members of the public, talks, professional workshops and seminars) will resume on appointment or schedule basis. Walk-in counter services will continue to be suspended;

Posts and faxes will continue to be collected and attended to;

All other services, including enquiries, data breach notifications and complaints through hotline (28272827) or email (enquiry@pcpd.org.hk ; dbn@pcpd.org.hk and complaints@pcpd.org.hk) and online services (www.pcpd.org.hk) will continue to remain normal;

Appointments for our services may be made through the hotline or email services (details as above) subject to reasonable restrictions;

Employees will work in office on a roster basis with a view to providing full public services as soon as conditions permit; and

Allowance and tolerance are requested where our full public services may not be provided for reasons beyond our control.
