Special Work Arrangements from 23 March 2020 until further notice (updated)


In response to the recent change of circumstances relating to the risks of the COVID-19,  to continue to help reduce social contacts and having regard to the latest approach adopted by the Government, the office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong has the following updated special work arrangements to make with effect from 23 March 2020:
 

  • Employees will resume working from home;
  • All services that involve commuting and face-to-face contact in office (including public talks, professional workshops, seminars and meetings with members of the public) will be suspended;
  • All other services, including media enquiries (90997517; ccd@pcpd.org.hk), general enquiries, data breach notifications and complaints through hotline (28272827) or email (enquiry@pcpd.org.hk ; dbn@pcpd.org.hk and complaints@pcpd.org.hk) and online services (www.pcpd.org.hk) will continue to be provided; and
  • Allowance and tolerance are requested in circumstances where services may only be provided in a basic and limited way.
