Opinion Survey

A Survey on Whether Young People Value Privacy

Recognizing the need to develop and instill a respect of other people's privacy in our society, particularly among the younger generation, the PCPD and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups ("HKFYG") has jointly carried out a survey to gauge young people's attitude towards privacy protection. The result has provided valuable insights for the PCPD in planning activities ahead to achieve the goal of cultivating and fostering a culture where people are encouraged to respect other person's privacy.

The telephone survey was carried out by the Youth Research Centre of HKFYG in September 2002 among a total number of 529 young people aged between 12 and 34.
For details, please refer to the full report of the survey and the questionnaire.
