Introduction

It is recommended that senior management in each organization make a commitment to implementing the requirements of the Ordinance to safeguard the privacy of customers and employees with respect to personal data. This commitment should be made known throughout the organization concerned. It is also recommended that each organization assign responsibility for co-ordinating and overseeing compliance with the Ordinance to a particular individual or group of individuals. These recommendations are not direct requirements of the Ordinance, but they will help ensure that the actions your organization takes to comply with the Ordinance are carried out in a thorough and consistent manner.
