Code of Practice on the Identity Card Number and other Personal Identifiers
The following paragraphs seek
to give practical effect to the Personal Data Accuracy Principle
(Data Protection Principle 2(1)): Subject to paragraph 4.5, paragraph 2.4 applies with
the modifications set out in clause 4.3 to personal
identifiers other than the identity card number in the
same way it applies to the identity card number. Paragraph 2.4 as modified by paragraph 4.3 does not
apply to the collection of a personal identifier pursuant

A personal identifier other than the identity card
number may be used for the purpose for which it was
