Protecting Children Privacy – Assistant Privacy Commissioner Attends “I Have Something to Say” Children’s Forum 2026

The Assistant Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (Corporate Communications and Operations), Ms Joyce LAI Chi-man, attended the “I Have Something to Say” Children’s Forum 2026 (Forum) organised by the Hong Kong Committee on Children’s Rights on 12 September as a responding guest, where she exchanged views with children on the theme “Children’s right to privacy should be respected”.

The Forum brought together five groups of children aged between 10 and 17 to share issues that concern them. The children also engaged in interactive discussions with responding guests and the audience. The Forum aims to raise public awareness of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and to provide a platform for children to speak out on issues that concern them.
