Promoting Anti-fraud Messages Privacy Commissioner Attends the First Anniversary Ceremony of the Anti-Deception Alliance (Education)

The Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (Privacy Commissioner), Ms Ada CHUNG Lai-ling, attended the first anniversary ceremony of the Anti-Deception Alliance (Education) on 5 July and spoke as a panellist at the panel discussion.

The Privacy Commissioner pointed out that in the digital age, fraudsters are using artificial intelligence to commit fraud, making it increasingly difficult for members of the public to guard against such threats. She reminded the public to stay vigilant against various forms of fraudulent tricks to safeguard personal data privacy. Her Office has proactively launched a series of anti-fraud educational initiatives, including organising seminars on fraud prevention for universities, and producing short anti-fraud videos and story books for primary school students, with the aim of enhancing the awareness of fraud prevention, including that of youngsters and the public in general.
