Reaching Out to the Education Sector – Privacy Commissioner Attends the Closing Ceremony of “Discussing News and Information with Teachers and Students” Programme
The Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (Privacy Commissioner), Ms Ada CHUNG Lai-ling, attended the closing ceremony of the “Discussing News and Information with Teachers and Students” Programme on 28 June. The Programme was organised by the Hong Kong Press Council, and the Privacy Commissioner presented certificates to the participating students.
The Programme is a media and information literacy educational campaign organised by the Hong Kong Press Council. Under the Programme, seminars and workshops have been held for around 50 primary and secondary schools since 2024. The programme aims to enhance the ability of teachers and students to ascertain the authenticity of news and to protect personal privacy.
