	2006
July - December		The PCPD jointly organized an educational campaign with the Hong Kong Hotels Association about "Pursuing Excellence ~ Protecting Personal Data" for the hotel industry. 1
August		The PCPD published "Data Protection Principles in the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance - from the Privacy Commissioner's perspective". 2
6 - 7 September		The Privacy Commissioner attended the APEC ECSG Data Privacy Subgroup meeting in Vietnam.
15 September		A telecommunications company was fined $4,000 for breaching the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
26 October		The PCPD launched the Information Security Enhancement Campaign ("the ISEC") together with the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (HK Chapter), the Internet Professional Association and the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers.
November		"Personal Data Privacy: Guidance on Property Management Practices" was issued.
8 - 10 November		The PCPD hosted the 26th Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities Forum in Hong Kong. 3
27 December		A debt collection agent was fined $5,000 for breaching the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

17 January		A telecommunications company was fined $14,000 for breaching the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
26 March		The PCPD organized a seminar on "Protecting Personal Data in the Electronic Media". 4
