Code of Practice on Consumer Credit Data (Revised in January 2013)
 
This Code of Practice provides practical guidance to financial institutions and credit reference agency in the handling of consumer credit data.  The Code first came into operation on 27 November 1998. The January 2013 Edition of the Code took effect on 1 January 2013.

Privacy Guidelines: Monitoring and Personal Data Privacy at Work

The PCPD has issued the "Privacy Guidelines: Monitoring and Personal Data Privacy at Work" ("the Guidelines") with the objective to promote personal data privacy at work where employees monitoring is undertaken resulting in the collection of personal data of employees. The Guidelines offer guidance to employers on the application of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance as well as proper standards of personal data management in the context of employee monitoring. "Monitoring and Personal Data Privacy at Work: Points to Note for Employers of Domestic Helpers"
This leaflet seeks to highlight certain essential aspects relevant to employers of domestic helpers. It is issued to promote the protection of data privacy of employees in domestic households in situations where monitoring is undertaken during the course of employment. It sets out certain important points that employers should note with regard to video monitoring of activities of domestic helpers working at home. Download the leaflet.
