"Privacy of Personal Data in the New Economy"

Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Mr. Stephen Lau, delivered an opening keynote at the Global Summit held in Washington, U.S., on 14 September 2000. The summit was host by the Privacy Council and Privista designed for executive level global policymakers and corporate executives and their designees to provide insight into the most critical privacy issues of concern to companies and organisations while presenting an objective case for privacy. The Summit was dedicated to issue of strategy, policy, technology, finance, legal and other related privacy topics of keen interest to all those in the business to business, business to consumer and public policy community.
