A Hotel Privacy Campaign,
titled "Pursuing Excellence - Protecting Personal Data", is
jointly organized by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal
Data and the Hong Kong Hotels Association to raise hotel practitioners'
awareness of privacy risks in their everyday work and reinforce the need
for them to take precautionary steps to protect personal data privacy.
To provide them with
practical guidance on day-to-day operation, the campaign will offer various
forms of training, including seminars, display panels, games, self-training
module and quizzes. In addition, a writing competition will be organized
for hotel personnel to express their feelings about and experiences of
the protection of personal data through essays and short stories.
The inauguration ceremony
of the campaign was officiated by the Privacy Commissioner for Personal
Data, Mr. Roderick Woo, the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Hotels
Association, Mr. James Lu and renowed artist Miss Sheren Tang on 27 June.

module for them to learn at their convenience and at their own pace.
Characteristics:
- To introduce the
Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance in an easy way
- Charts and quizzes
to facilitate learning and understanding
- Free to decide
